It could only get better with mariachis.

Get ready for flamenco, mariachis and folklorico—Old Town’s bringing in the crowds, New Mexico style.

Old Town will feature "Tardeadas on the Plaza" from 6 to 9 p.m. every Wednesday evening from now until October. The event pretty much entails a social dance in the middle of the Old Town Plaza and the occasional historical reenactment. On these nights, you can also honor our elders and recognize all of the important cultural contributions from community members. Yay for Five-O-Five pride! Not to mention Old Town shops will be offering discounts on these super special nights.

Can Old Town get much better than this? Only if you also head there on Saturdays between 1 and 4 p.m., where there will be a hodge podge of performances throughout the plaza. From flamenco dancers to story telling, Old Town now screams "entertainment center of ABQ." The best part will take place in the gazebo: a performance by bad-ass Mariachis. Why so bad ass? Because they are mariachis—in the middle of Old Town!
