Sue is leaving! This may be your last chance to see the largest, most-complete and best preserved T. rex specimen before she’s gone!

The public exhibition of “A T. rex Named Sue” closes on Jan. 2 at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science (1801 Mountain NW in Old Town Albuquerque).

F.Y.I., Sue was embroiled in a heartbreaking and fascinating legal/custody battle between the group of paleontologists who found her and the trustee who managed the land she was unearthed from.

Anyhow, the court entanglement lasted more than 5 years, and resulted in the 2-year imprisonment of a doctor of paleontology under some total bullshit charges.

Sue was sold on the open market at Sothebies (I think for $8 million) not too long ago, and is now jointly owned by McDonald’s and some other heartless mega corporation that I forget.

None of this will be discussed in the exhibit, of course. But you should really check out this dinosaur while you can.
