I’m sure Al Franken is a very nice person. He’s just not very funny ...

I’m a flamin’ liberal, but I hated liberal talk radio from the get-go (even though I still listen to it regularly). I’m glad Al Franken left Air America. He was a terrible talk show host.

You talk too slow, Al. I’m glad you’re running for the Senate. You’ll fit in perfectly in Congress. They’re not very funny either.

Anyway, I was driving back to the office this afternoon and clicked on 1350 AM, the Air America affiliate here in Albuquerque. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Franken is already gone. I was
ecstatic to hear the voice of Mark Marin, former host of “Morning Sedition,” the best show on Air America, which was, of course, cancelled early on because—quite frankly—it was too damn good for the station.

Is Marin back? Sounded like he’d just be sitting in for a day or two. Give the boy a chance. He’s funny. He’s fast. He’s got a whole barnyard full of hilarious accompanying talent to flesh out the show. He’s also a homeboy from Albuquerque.

Come on–he’s back, right? Air America, here’s your chance to prove you aren’t as lame as you seem to be.
