It’s the time of year when just about anything that falls under the spectrum of "theater" also falls under that of "Christmas." A lot of people like this, as evidenced by big turnouts at classic seasonal productions. For everyone else, there’s Mother Road Theatre Company‘s The Memory of Water , being staged at The Filling Station (1024 Fourth Street SW). The play, written by Shelagh Stephenson and directed by Mark Hisler and Vic Browder, tells the story of three British sisters bonding with each other in the wake of their mother’s death. There’s also ghosts, pot and booze. Should get your mind off Yuletide schmaltz in no time. Tonight’s performance is at 8 p.m.
