Heads up, Earth lovers: You’ll be able to prowl the third annual Lobo Growers’ Market at UNM’s Cornell Mall tomorrow. In addition to springtime produce and locally prepared foods, the campus is hosting an alternative transportation fair (which includes a UNM Police Department bicycle auction) and other eco-friendly activities from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Farmer Monte Skarsgard from Los Poblanos Organics will also give a “State of the Organic Union” examining the current state and future of small farms. That’ll be at 1 p.m. in Zimmerman Library’s Willard Reading Room. Be sure to check the Alibi calendars all weekend for even more food-, community- and arts-based Earth Day events. There are a ton.
