Artist Dan Socha uses smoke to draw. He collects old pieces of ledger paper, and old handwriting becomes art when he takes candles and uses the smoke to make images across double pink lines intersecting with the aquamarine ones. Exhibit 208—an artist-owned gallery specializing in professional level works—will be showing his pieces beginning Friday with a reception at 5 p.m. If you can’t make it then, the gallery is open Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
