Faustin Linyekula is looking forward. In a nation decimated by war and economic strife, what else can he do? In 2001, Linyekula started the dance and visual theater company Studios Kabako in the Congolese capital of Kinshasa. He has since toured the world and is now bringing his eclectic performance piece more more more… future to Albuquerque for one night only. As the last part of Global DanceFest Fall 2011, more features three dancers moving to poetry and a five-piece band led by Congolese "pop and Sex Machine funk star” Flamme Kapaya. The piece is about rising from the ashes and finding redemption among havoc. It takes place Tuesday night at VSA N4 th Arts Center. You might remember Studios Kabako from its DanceFest debut in 2007, when the company performed Festival of Lies with Albuquerque world music powerhouse Wagogo.
