A state with an active film scene is bound to have plenty of creative kernels just waiting to pop. Take a look at what A/V awesomeness the students at UNM’s Department of Cinematic Arts have been cooking up during the Annual Student Showcase. From 8 to 9:45 p.m. at the ASUNM Southwest Film Center (lower level of UNM’s Student Union Building), feast your eyes on films curated by the faculty. Each work incorporates production techniques taught throughout the semester, including color bars, 16mm projection and collage. The showcase is free and open to the public. For more, visit cinematicarts.unm.edu or contact the department at 277-6262.
