Got a nice late start this morning. (My wife’s office is closed. Lucky dog.) Decided to take the bus in to avoid playing bumper cars down Central. They’re running although service is lagging about 15 to 20 minutes behind, according to the city’s website. Also, don’t look for the red accordion Rapid Ride buses. They apparently don’t do so well in the ice and slush, so the regular city buses are being used for that route.This brings up a small gripe I have about transit service along Central. Why don’t the Rapid Ride buses and the regular 66 buses stop at the same place? I hate having to run the 50 yards or so between the two stops when the wrong bus is coming my way. Bad planning. Can someone fix this?Greg? Are you listening?
