We just got the sad news that Nob Hill’s Alphaville Video is closing…

(PRESS RELEASE)

After more than 12 years of service to the community, ALPHAVILLE VIDEO, located in Nob Hill, is going out of business. The store’s lease is up February 28th and the space must be vacated by March 31st, after which time the property will be developed for new use by Build New Mexico, the current owners of the bright turquoise building at 3408 Central SE, which is shared by another landmark Nob Hill business, The Bookstop.

Although no new accounts can be now be opened, current customers are encouraged to come in and check out their favorite films and support the store through this time of transition. Alphaville Club Members will have until Saturday, March 3rd to use up any remaining free rentals they may have on their Membership Cards. All outstanding rentals must be returned by Saturday, March 10th.

A storewide sale of remaining inventory and fixtures will begin on Monday, March 12th and continue throughout the month.

A Farewell Party, featuring live bands, film projections and special party favors, is planned for Saturday, March 31st. More details TBA.
