We take our slam seriously in Albuquerque. That's been the case for years. The work of a year winds up to one final match that determines who will represent the Duke City at the national slam competition. And it looks like the champs of 2005 (Kenn, Hakim, Carlos, Cuffee) are duking it out again for a seat on the team. There are newcomers, too. Slam Master Don McIver says: “There’s a potential that we could have a repeat team.” But, he added, he wouldn’t be surprised if it went another way. At these bouts, it’s anybody’s guess.
