He’s there, across Candelaria on the right, very tiny. Yeah, I know, you can’t really see him.The Bird Man is an elderly gentleman on a recumbent bicycle that he’s rigged up with shade umbrellas and perches for his several parrots. He’s usually also walking a tiny dog on a leash.I spotted him last week on Candelaria between Louisiana and San Pedro. When I stopped and asked if I could get his photo for the Alibi, he sped across Candelaria without responding. The picture you see is the Bird Man vanishing in the distance. I decided not to follow him, but he’s a spectacle to behold. I’ve seen him in this area several times, so next time you’re up there… keep your eyes peeled.
