We’re getting a hat trick of free, classic films in Albuquerque this weekend—and, if it doesn’t rain too early, some cinematic-quality summer weather to match. Casablanca is getting screened outdoors the Factory on 5th Art Space (1915 Fifth Street NW) at 8:30 p.m. tonight. You’re on the hook for your own chairs and snacks.Tomorrow evening, Rebel Without a Cause is showing on Civic Plaza. In addition to James Dean and that miraculous Griffith Observatory car chase, the city’s providing seating and popcorn. Get there by 8:30 p.m. Then on Saturday, the city’s putting up O Brother, Where Art Thou? at the KiMo Theatre. It’s actually astounding how perfect the KiMo’s concert-quality sound and movie palace design could be for this film. The show starts early at 4 p.m., so you can scramble up to SummerFest when it lets out.If you hear someone say they’re bored within the next 50-or-so hours, slap them across the face with a carp. And then call them a “lout."
