The Bricklight Underground Merchants’ Association is hosting a giant block party to celebrate its formation. Its mission is “to promote cool, unique, locally owned and operated subculture businesses through community building and events in the area between UNM & CNM.” The businesses doing special stuff include All is One Tattoo, Cellar Door Gifts & Gallery, Free Radicals Clothing, Frock Star Vintage, Aeros Recording Studio, Bricklight Dive, Cheba Hut and Mendy Lou the Psychic.The block party, from 12 to 10 p.m., promises all your fav things: live music by more than seven bands, sales, karaoke, art, contests, swag and food. All the businesses will be highlighting the number 13 in some way, but the coolest (or the craziest, you decide) is All Is One offering $13 tattoos. More than 20 tattoo artists from around the city will be on hand to lessen your wait. You can even take a number and check out the other stuff until your ink time comes.
