According to the latest press release from the Kerry-Edwards campaign, Bill Clinton and Teresa Heinz Kerry will lead a rally for Kerry this Saturday on the plaza in Santa Fe. Later that day, Teresa will pal around Española and Taos with Bill Richardson, Sen. Jeff Bingaman, Rep. Tom Udall and Martin Sheen. (I just saw another actor from “The West Wing” on “Real Time with Bill Maher” last week. What is it with these guys? “I'm not a politician but I play one on TV … .)
On Sunday, Clinton is scheduled to meet with the 19 Pueblo governors and and Joe Shirley Jr., President of the Navajo Nation. Then he'll be coming to Albuquerque for a rally at the National Hispanic Cultural Center.
