Dogs Deserve Better is a nonprofit that helps chained or penned dogs across the country facing abuse or neglect from their owners. Walk a mile in their four-legged shoes today by tethering yourself in a non-kinky way for Chain Off 2010. You know that demoralizing punch in the gut you feel watching a show like "Animal Cops"? This time, you’re that dog. The event, in its sixth consecutive year, features activists from all over the country chaining themselves to doghouses and other immobile objects to raise money for DDB. Head over to UNM Campus at University and Central NE from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. (But don’t forget that collar and chain!)
