Well, a name makeover, at least. I just got a press release declaring that City Council President Martin Heinrich (apparently the hottest man in U.S. politics) sponsored a resolution that passed at last night’s Council meeting, renaming Civic Plaza to "Harry E. Kinney Plaza." You may all remember seeing in the news last month that former Mayor Kinney passed away May 9 at the ripe age of 81. The resolution also calls for a public art statue to be commissioned in the likeness of Kinney, which will rest on the plaza.
