Even if you’re the type that could quite frankly give less of a you-know-what about Tyra Banks and her legions of makeup-caked cronies, a competition is always a good time. In Clash Couture: A Live Fashion Show Behind the Runway, eight teams of makeup artists, hairstylists and fashion designers put their skills to the test in a timed contest to make the most awe-inspiring, faint-inducing style this side of the Rio Grande. Rounding out the ultramodern soirée is a silent auction featuring the students of The Art Center Design College and a DJ spinning throughout the night. Tickets are $10 for students and $20 for the rest of us, with proceeds benefitting Art in the School, a nonprofit promoting art education in public schools.
