Every year, Albuquerque’s Open Space Division teams up with local volunteers to clean up trash, graffiti and debris around the Sandia foothills. Lend a helping hand today as the clean-up crew meets at the end of Copper, east of Tramway. Pack a lunch, take plenty of water, wear comfortable clothing and get there early to register. The spring clean-up runs each Saturday in April from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at several locations around the Sandia foothills. Parking is limited, so carpooling is strongly encouraged. For more information, call 452-5200 or visit cabq.gov/openspace. (Adam Fox)
