Angie Drobnic Holan and her associates at the St. Petersburg Times just won the Pulitzer Prize for Politifact.com’s coverage of the 2008 election.

Angie came to the Alibi by way of Austin, TX back in 1994, initially as a circulation intern. She rose quickly in our organization, taking on a handful of other positions including Operations Manager, before settling into her role as News Editor, a job which she excelled at for the remainder of her time with us. She left us in 1998 to return to school.

Angie received her MS in Journalism from Columbia in 1999 and an additional Masters in Library and Information Science the following year from the University of South Florida. She currently resides with her husband in Tampa Bay, FL where she works as a reporter and researcher for the
St. Petersburg Times.

Congratulations, Angie! And nice to hear from you, too.
