We’ve got two free pairs of tickets to give away for this Saturday’s Dresden Dolls concert at the Sunshine Theater. The show’s exceptional for Albuquerque, as both the Dresden Dolls and the supporting act, Smoosh, have never stopped in New Mexico, and both acts hold their own in two different genres. (New Mexico tends to attract safer straight-ticket lineups.) Marisa Demarco interviews one of the cabaret junkies of Dresden Dolls in this week’s music feature ( read it here). And then there’s Smoosh, a Seattle indie pop duo propelled by golden-haired, tween-aged sisters Asya (keys, vocals) and Chloe (drums). The young band has prospered under the tutelage of Death Cab for Cutie drummer Jason McGerr. Both acts are worth the $22 admission on their own. But the first two people to post the contents of their last meal (breakfast or lunch, most likely) as a comment will get their name plus one on the guest list. The contest ends at 5 p.m., so hop to it!
