David Paterson’s proposed gay marriage bill will galvanize Republicans against him and could cause his electoral defeat in 2010.Giuliani, who says he supports civil unions, was once thought of as one of the most gay-friendly prominent Republicans. His comments to the Post were widely viewed as an attempt to insert himself into the list of potential Gubernatorial candidates in ’10.
