I don’t like spending large sums of money. I don’t like forced festiveness. I find massive gatherings of humans to be largely depressing. That is why I will be regifting rather than shopping this month. There are, however, rules to what can and cannot be regifted, discussed here. There are also those regifts that are borderline, such as my now mother-in-law’s gift to me of Mary Kay assorted anti-wrinkle creams, given to her by an acquaintance. Unopened? Check. Good intentions? You betcha. Slightly insulting in that it was the year of the emergence of my angry forehead wrinkle? Yes and yes.
