Wondering where to dispose of your car batteries, insecticides, paint, oil, antifreeze, solvents …? The City’s Hazardous Waste Collection Center is located at Rinchem (6133 Edith NE, between Montgomery and Osuna), 345-1650. Drop off hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. 3 pm. Check out the website for more info. And remember to never put hazardous waste in the trash or dump it on the ground. Always take it to be disposed of properly.
