American television has been in the process of transitioning from analog to digital over the past decade. Now the time has arrived for the public to follow suit. Stations are still required to switch to DTV on Feb. 17, as legislation that would have push the date back by four months was killed in the house today. DTV and analog are both available now, but in a matter of days those who receive television via antenna will need a digital converter box or a newer television (post ‘04) equipped with a digital tuner.
