I love political ads. Indignant voiceovers set to waving flags saying things like, “And in 1967, my opponent was caught by his third grade teacher setting ants on fire with a magnifying glass.” Or those down-home depictions of the candidate shaking hands with the dirty, poor people, eyes filled with concern. And then the closer: “I’m So-and-So, and I approve this message. Paid for by People With Disposable Income and a Desire to Rule the World.” Of course, they’re all a bunch of crap, and totally set up for poking fun at. Here’s a spoof that’s so inappropriate, yet so damn funny.
