Theodor Seuss Geisel, more commonly known by his pen name Dr. Seuss, published more than 60 incredibly imaginative and creative children’s books throughout his lifetime. Not bad for someone who never had children of his own. Although he died nearly two decades ago, his tongue-twisting tales of rhythmic brilliance and political poignancy live on in television specials, three feature films and even a Broadway musical. Tip a cap to the Kaiser as Loma Colorado Main Library holds a Dr. Seuss birthday bash. Starting today at 6:45 p.m., watch a reader’s theater production of "The Sneetches" performed by the library’s Teen Advisory Group, and enjoy cake and milk from Creamland Dairy. Need more? Call the library at 891-5013. (Adam Fox)
