The now famous David Sedaris line about undecided voters in 2008:“To put them in perspective, I think of being on an airplane. The flight attendant comes down the aisle with her food cart and, eventually, parks it beside my seat. “Can I interest you in the chicken?” she asks. “Or would you prefer the platter of shit with bits of broken glass in it?”To be undecided in this election is to pause for a moment and then ask how the chicken is cooked.”The Journal doesn’t ask how the chicken is cooked. Instead, our morning daily endorses the platter. The Obama rally at Johnson Field on Oct. 25 pulled in about 45,000 people. McCain held a rally that same day and drew 1,500. Is the Journal out of touch or what?
