The Lobo men’s basketball team will have to put a heartbreaking loss behind them and ready themselves for another tough task on Tuesday.After a one point, overtime loss to Mountain West Conference leading Brigham Young University last week, the Lobos now must face the University of Nevada Las Vegas who sit in second place just ten days before the Mountain West Tournament. The Lobos looked strong in the loss against BYU, but the Cougars kept dumping the ball inside to their bigs and the Lobos’ undersized front court couldn’t keep the Cougars off the free throw line in overtime. Lobo Women The Lady Lobos have had a tough year, having to rely on young players and a lineup that lacks much offensive firepower. The team climbed to 7-7 with a win on the road against BYU and their next game is against cellar-dwellers UNLV. The Lobos will probably have to win the Mountain West Tournament to break into the NCAA’s big dance in late March.
