The hyperlink is a funny thing. Ted Nelson invented it, inspired by the futurist ideas of Vannevar Bush (who, coincidentally, became tangled up in the Roswell Incident, if you can believe the conspiracy nuts). It’s all about pointing, about the footnote that is the source. Where would the Huffington Post be without it?

So it’s extra funny when you point to someone who’s pointing back at you. Let’s do it right now. Hi,

In Silver City, 600 miners get laid off, per The Curious Blogquat.
Comfort food eases the pain.

Chicago-style popcorn is coated with cheddar and caramel?
Gil’s Thrilling explains.

Nobody wants to talk about the radionuclides that may or may not now be in our drinking water.
But Clearly New Mexico does.

The Spectre Series continues at UNM’s Arts Lab. For those about to drone, we salute you.

And, back where we started from, Heath Haussamen manages to write
900 words about the death of watchdog journalism without mentioning, pro or con, the Albuquerque Journal or a certain award-winning weekly newspaper. Hmm.
