Labor Day weekend means camping, picnics and lots and lots of wine.

Art & Chocolate Festival— For just one more awesome thing going on in Bernalillo this weekend, Art Gallery 66 (373 N.Camino del Pueblo) is hosting an Art & Chocolate Festival on Saturday, Sept. 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It’s free … and that’s all I know. You need more? Call 867-8666.

Harlow’s Art Show— For some more art, head to Harlow’s on the Hill for their Art show on the Patio from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 2. Tim Downing will be showing his oil paintings and steel blacksmithing sculpture and Rhonda Main will display her hand-built clay art and ceramics. Stay after for the music of King Friday and a martini.

Explora the Weekend— Many things are closed for Labor Day, including APS. If you need something to do with your little tyke that could include blowing stuff up, Explora is open. They’ll be closed for maintenance from Tuesday, Sept. 5, through Monday, Sept. 12, so check ’em on your day off before they take theirs. (And yes, Adult Night is coming soon if you can’t stand/don’t have tykes)

Drink to Freedom— Wednesday, Sept.6, is Lithuanian Independence Day. Well, it is, and anyone who loves freedom, Lithuanian or not, is invited to join other like-minded freedom lovers at the Martini Grille at 6 p.m. Toast to liberty, cheer for brotherhood! For more info, call Kelly at 417-1917.
