My iPod back is back in my possession—I’m stoked. I lent it to my best friend for his seven-month escapade in Europe. Now it’s full of German hip-hop—weird. I forgot how much fun having an iPod is. If the weather doesn’t go nuts this weekend, I think I’ll take a nice, long walk with my portable MP3 machine. Enjoy the melty snow!

The Terminator —The governor of Cali won’t be in the pilot for the TV show "Sarah Connor Chronicles" but you could be! There is an open casting call for background actors from 12:30 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 13, at the MCM Elegante Hotel (2020 Menaul NE). They’re looking for people of all ages, types and abilities (rumor is there are a few minor speaking roles available, too) with a special call for cowboy types, military/police types and truckers. Also, if your willing to let them use your pre-1998 car or truck, bring a photo of it—you’ll get extra moolah if they use it in the pilot. Filming will take place Jan. 25 through Feb. 17.

Kubatana Marimba Ensemble—Get your marimba on and raise funds for Greater Albuquerque Habitat for Humanity with a concert on Saturday, Jan. 13, at 7:30 p.m. at Sandia Preparatory School’s Russell Student Center (532 Osuna NE). The suggested donation is $10.
