Our beloved Web editor is out of town, so today I will be the raider of mythic hidden luckies. We’re technically still in spring, but be sure to get out there and enjoy the blistering heat and heavy, unmoving air this weekend. What I wouldn’t do for a rainy afternoon right about now—though not, of course, during any of these fine events. Space Cadet Macbeth —Eat, Drink and Be Larry is putting up yet another weekend of "Macbeth in Space" with an encore performance at The Box (1025 Lomas NW). Expect phasers, a space vessel and a deranged Scotsman. Tickets are $8. Curtains up at 10:30 p.m. tonight and tomorrow night, and 8 p.m. on Sunday. Singer-Songwriter Goodness —Jill Cohn will be performing tonight at 8 p.m. at Winnings Co, a venue hosting lots of excellent musicians these days. Head over the the coffee joint at 111 Harvard SE for an intimate performance. AbFab All Night —Get ready for an exhausting PrideFest with some stamina training at Out ch’Yonda (929 4th Street SW). The Arts Studio gets props for holding the funniest Pride celebration—an "Absolutely Fabulous" marathon on Sunday from 6 p.m. on into the night. Admission by donation. Hot Time in the Old Town Tonight —Who would have thought Historic Old Town, in solidarity with Pride Week, would ever be the setting for something as cool as the first and only all-gay mariachi band from the Southwest? The city’s Cultural Services Department is behind a free concert from Mariachi Orgullo on Wednesday, June 6, from 6-9 p.m. Hell, even I’m feeling a little civic pride about this one.
