Oy. If your week has been as busy as ours, you’re probably praying for 5 o’clock. Here are a number of fun and leisurely events for this weekend … to help counteract all that hard work.

Friday

Cloud Tectonics is the latest experimental theater from Center for the Arts, exploring the nature of love and time. See the show tonight and tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices are $10 general, $8 faculty and seniors and $7 staff and students. The show is also followed by a late-night comedy showcase both nights at 10 p.m. that is pay-what-you-can. Call 925-5858 or visit theatre.unm.edu for more info.

Saturday

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society will gather at Tiguex Park in Old Town tonight for the annual “Light the Night.” Participants will walk in twilight holding illuminated balloons to celebrate and commemorate lives touched by cancer. The walk starts at 5:30 p.m., and later there will be music, food and family activities. Free. For more information, visit www.lightthenight.org, www.schoolandyouth.org or www.lls.org.

Any day during September or October you can join trained observers of HawkWatch International as they monitor the migration of raptors. Watch eagles, hawks and falcons up close before they’re released into the wild after banding. Field educators will be on site, weather permitting, every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Meet them at the ridgetop near Capilla Peak in the Cibola National Forest.
