Who’d’ve thought the weekend following Valentine’s Day would be packed with so many happenings. Get out, do stuff. Basement Film on the Move Experiments in Cinema selections from V1.0 and V2.0 will be featured at the N4th Gallery (4904 Fourth Street NW) tonight and tomorrow at 7 p.m and includes short works by local Basement Film members—not those Hollyweirdoes hanging out around the state. Scorp Skate See the New Mexico Scorpions’ battle-on-ice with the Colorado Eagles this Sunday, Feb. 17, while raising money for the Read West literacy program. The game starts at 3:15 p.m. at the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho and if you get your tickets ($11 for adults, $7 for seniors/students) by calling 883-7829 right now you’ll get to skate with the Scorpions after the game. Black Tea Party Out ch’YondA (929 Fourth Street SW) hosts its second monthly DJ Salon on Sunday, Feb. 17, featuring DJ Qwela, Travis Parkin, DJDee, DJ BlaqTruth and more. Bring your own food, drink, art or whatever else you’d like to share. The tunes begin at 5 p.m.
