The Box Turns One

This Saturday, March 1, marks the one-year anniversary of
The Box Performance Space. To celebrate, there’ll be a big shindig with food, drink, improv and other delightful, birthday-ish things. The party starts at 6 p.m. and will "go late into the evening." Congrats! Keep up the hard work.

February’s
Albuquerque Music Association workshop, "Booking Agents," was rescheduled to this Monday, March 3, at the Cell Theatre (700 First Street NW). The workshop (free for ABQ Music Association members, $8 everyone else) is geared toward singers, songwriters, bands and other musicians looking for advice from professionals on how to get gigs.

The Girls from Brazil

Filmmaker Nili Tal will be at the
Jewish Community Center on Wednesday, March 5, for a screening of her documentary The Girls from Brazil . Tal’s film follows many young Israeli women adopted from Brazil as they travel back to their home country to find their birth parents. The screening starts at 7 p.m. and tickets are $5 per person.
