A film festival for the ladies, sci-fi chatter and a washed-up hollywood hunk ties the knot–all on this edition of the Picks we couldn’t fit in this week’s Alibi . Women and Creativity Film Festival The National Hispanic Cultural Center plays host to more than 20 films directed by girls and women from all over America. Showings begin tonight at 6 p.m. and continue Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. All the flicks are free to see. Melinda Snodgrass Award winning science-fiction novelist Melinda Snodgrass will talk about her forthcoming dark fantasy novel The Edge of Reason at Some Stuff From Huff Studio on 5900 Domingo NE.
