Lots of pride this weekend and there’s more to come.

Tribal Bellydancing for Dummies

You don’t have to put if off any longer. Head over to 400 Gold SW on Saturday, June 14, for that introductory belly dancing class you’ve been meaning to go to, but were too darn lazy to actually attend. Be ready to sweat, and bring water! The class runs from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. and its free. Ask for Megan.

Native Craft

The Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort and Spa hosts the ninth annual Native American Artisan Market this Saturday, June 14. Don’t miss your chance to catch some spectacular performances, arts and handmade crafts from Native people throughout the Southwest. Admission is free. The Hyatt Regency is located north of the Santa Ana Star Casino in Bernallio, just off Hwy. 228.

Firewomyn

In the world of party, the rooftop party reins supreme. Fire, Albuquerque’s annual all-womyn dance party, celebrates Pride 2008 on the roof of the downtown Banque (219 Central NW) this Saturday night. Tickets are $20 at the door, or $15 in advance at Self Serve, Java Joe’s and Backroad Pizza (Santa Fe). All donations go to the NM AIDS Services, Young Women United, the ABQ Rape Crisis Center and the Cradle Project. 21+ please. For more info, visit
firewomyn.com.
