Voters in Michigan legalized medical marijuana last year (to the throaty tune of 63 percent of the vote), but the program officially went into effect Saturday. As of yesterday, 101 people have applied to receive permits under Michigan’s brand-new medical marijuana rules, which issues state ID cards that protect marijuana growers and users who’ve secured a doctor’s prescription.You can read about it here.
