What a snowy day. I was prepared to write a sweet little blog about the exciting Valentine’s Day events ahead of me … but the snow killed those plans. LodeStar Astronomy Center was hosting a fun alternative to the usual wine-and-dine, hearts-and-flowers, gag-me-with-a-spoon Valentine’s events with an evening of star gazing and planetarium action. Sure, there was a cutesy, romantic theme with chocolates, music and snuggling with your sweetie under the stars, but it was cheap and sweet and sans fairy dust and cupid.But, alas, the city has been shut down due to “inclement weather.” Now I’m left with no plans. Zip. Nadda. Nothing. Guess it’s off to the movie theater with me and my Valentine. Come on! There have got to be some more options out there in a hip town like Burque. Any leads?
