It should come as no surprise that astronauts are a bunch of nerds. (The new ones anyway. Neil Armstrong and his boys were a bunch of hard-drinking, skirt-chasing wingnuts.) Leave it to a Japanese astronaut to take it to the next level, though. The other day, astronaut/ otaku Soichi Noguchi hung out on the International Space Station dressed as Derek Wildstar (known as Susumu Kodai in Japan) from the anime series "Star Blazers" (known as "Space Battleship Yamato" in Japan).
