Ray Suarez, senior correspondent for the "NewsHour with Jim Lehrer" is hosting a town hall meeting at UNM’s Continuing Education Auditorium on Sunday, Oct. 12. The topic of the meeting is "What Role Will New Mexico and the Media Play in the Upcoming Presidential Election?" The audience will get to ask questions of the panel which includes: Gene Grant, co-host of KNME’s “New Mexico in Focus”; Jeff Jones, Albuquerque Journal political reporter; Joe Monahan, blogger; Lonna Atkeson, UNM political science professor; Delbert E. Carrillo, Valley High School teacher; and Steve Seth, Highland High School teacher. The meeting starts at 3 p.m. and doors open at 2:30 p.m. It’s free to attend.
