My associates and I have begun to set up a new society inside a cave. Three of us concentrate our mental energy on a substance piled on a paper plate and surrounded with crumpled aluminum foil. Our third attempt is a partial success: the substance ignites and wafts smoke up into a small niche in the wall. The niche begins to glow blue and emit spidery blue rays of light. A small picture is projected on the wall but it is too tiny to make out. Our fourth attempt is a success. The resulting picture on the wall is large and superimposes Western daily life with that of life in Tibet (e.g. kids playing on a merry- go-round versus a child riding a baby elephant).
