Science- and technology-based magazines this month seem to be all about human body part regeneration. First, it was tooth re-growth, now it’s stealing a good idea from salamanders and learning how to re-make whole limbs. The people of the future may not be filled with metal and plastic, after all. Unless you consider the robots we’ll be marrying people. But I expect one day they’ll at least be robots with living tissue. (Like Data–he did have living tissue, right? All I can find on him is his positronic brain.)
