The Day The Music Changed

I don’t own a pick-up truck or a Stetson hat or lizard-skin cowboy boots. I do, however, own a dog who likes to stick her head out the window of my Corolla while I’m wheeling around town. So, for that reason alone, I like to listen to country radio. The station of choice was 105.1 FM The Range—they played an interesting mix of the good ol’ country classics and crappy new Trashville pop. I dug it. For better or worse, though, the station has now been acquired by Univision. It’s been reborn as Recuerdo 105.1 http://www.univision.net/corp/en/pr/Albuquerque_13032006-1.html and features entirely Spanish oldies, which is cool enough but definitely not quite as good as a soundtrack for my breeze-lovin' road hound.
