The Hornets face the San Antonio Spurs in game seven of the series tonight at 6:30 p.m. in New Orleans. The home team has won 22 of the 24 games played in the semifinals of both conferences. The Los Angeles Lakers await the winner of the San Antonio/New Orleans game. The Lakers’ Kobe Bryant shook off a back injury, and lead his team to the series victory in six games over the Jazz.The East’s Conference Finals are set, with the eagerly anticipated matchup between the Boston Celtics and Detroit Pistons scheduled for Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. The Pistons easily did away with the Orlando Magic in five games, and the Celtics overcame 45 points by the Cleveland Cavaliers’ LeBron James to win game seven of their series. The Pride of Pittsburgh Gets to the Stanley Cup Finals Pittsburgh native Ryan Malone exploded for two goals and an assist in the Pittsburgh Penguins series clinching 6-0 victory over their in-state rivals, the Philadelphia Flyers. The Penguins are in cruise control, having lost only two of their last 10 games. The team has earned some r ‘n’ r while they await the winner of the Detroit Red Wings/Dallas Stars series.
