It doesn’t look good does it Norman?

God Damnit Norman!

It would have been a beautiful story. Fifty-three-year-old Greg Norman was one day away from being the oldest golfer to win a
major. The man who has been chided for blowing big leads at the worst possible times could have made critics eat their words, if just for one day. Instead he choked—again.

Norman entered the final day of the British Open with a two stroke lead. He ended it in a tie for third place with Henrik Stenson. Padraig Harrington won the tournament for the second year in a row, despite an ailing wrist.

Norman’s ability to crumble under pressure is the stuff of
legend, even inspiring a Saturday Night Live sketch. To be fair, Norman has had more than his share of bad luck in the final day of tournaments. But a golfer who has had the lead in all four majors and only won the British Open, deserves his reputation as a nervous nelly.
