Get Ready for the Worst Football Season Ever

I hate to say it, but I think the New England Patriots are going to win the Super Bowl this year. I wish another team seemed poised to grab the regular season spotlight, but the Pats will be the team to watch all year long. Their offense looks as menacing as ever with three-time Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady, star wide receiver Randy Moss and running back Laurence Maroney. If that isn’t enough, the Patriots have the added motivation of seeking revenge after their perfect season was destroyed in the Super Bowl last year by the New York Giants.

What could be worse than another Patriot victory parade? The fact that the Dallas Cowboys will be the only team that stands in their way. The Cowboys are also playing with a chip on their shoulder after losing a tough game to the Giants in the second round of the playoffs last year. Their division is pretty miserable and, barring any major injuries, the Cowboys will be the team to beat. What’s wrong with that? It will make their idiot owner happy. Jerry Jones is a pompous buffoon who insists on standing on the sidelines as though he’s on the team. Get back in the skybox Jerry!

It has 17 weeks to prove me wrong, but right now, I’m thinking this NFL season is one to sleep through.
