One-derful Tournament

For the first time in men’s tournament history, all four one-seeds advanced to the Final Four.

Some folks are probably upset that no underdogs made it to the semi-finals, but the prospect of watching North Carolina, Kansas, UCLA and Memphis going at it is enticing. The teams that have proven to be the best throughout the season are still standing, and that should ensure that every game from here on out is close.

The only downside to the way things shook out is that it’s put my office pool standing in peril. Go Tar Heels!

Bush Booed in Baseball’s Opener

Last night, Ryan Zimmerman hit a walk-off home run to send the Washington National’s to a 3-2 victory against the Atlanta Braves in the first game ever played in the brand new Washington Nationals Park. President Bush threw the first pitch and was belted with boos from the moment he stepped on the field.
