Tonight, the Albuquerque Independent Business Alliance (or AIBA, www.keepitquerque.org) and Flying Star Cafés will sponsor a Valentine's Day-themed event with local business at heart. The “I LOVE Albuquerque” networking/open house will give the local business-loving community a nice, long look at the new upper-Nob Hill site of Martha's Body Bueno ([link]) at 3901 Central NE from 5 to 8 p.m., not to mention a chance and do some last-minute V-Day penetration—er, preparation.
The $20 admission is steep, for sure, but the money will benefit the AIBA and three AIBA nonprofit member organizations (WESST Corp, New Mexico Community Development Loan Fund and NM Voices for Children). Plus, you'll get a big Flying Star cookie and enjoy live music. Not a bad deal for local business, if you ask me.
